Lauren Coppinger
Associate Attorney
Lauren Coppinger practices exclusively in family law and supports clients through all aspects of dissolution. She acknowledges that each client comes with their own unique story, and tailors her approach to help her clients navigate the legal process during an often emotional and volatile chapter.
Lauren received her undergraduate degree from Saint Mary’s College of Notre Dame. After graduating, she started her law career in intellectual property before attending the University of Illinois at Chicago School of Law, where she made the Dean’s List and graduated cum laude.
During her law school tenure, she served as an extern in the Domestic Relations Division of the Circuit Court of Cook County, and as a board member of the Moot Court Honors Council and competition team, where she learned and ultimately taught zealous advocacy. Prior to her admission to the Illinois Bar, Ms. Coppinger was a law clerk at Hoffenberg & Block before becoming an Associate.
Guiding families through complex transitions with empathy, precision, and communication
However, all family law litigation has its genesis in an emotional relationship between two people that is coming to or has come to an end.
Since every relationship is different each family law case has its own unique set of facts and dynamics. Russ’ approach to family law conflicts includes taking into consideration the underlying dynamics of the relationship in order to craft a strategy that not only prepares for trial but also lays the ground work for settlement.
